The total area of urban forests in Perm occupies almost half of the urban area. Forests not only surround urban development, creating a green ring within the city limits but also in separate tracts, forest parks are located in residential areas. The maintenance of city forests is carried out by the Perm State Forestry Municipal Institution (MKU)
